These are the Department's Standard Operating Guidelines. These policies and procedure dictate how and what we do. We prefer the term 'guideline' to 'procedure' because it implies that every situation is unique and that these are guidelines designed to help you operate safely while using your best judgement and not necessarily hard-and-fast rules.
