Unlike dry-chem or CO2 extinguisher, pressurized water cans (p-cans) can be refilled and put back in service at the station.

How to refill the p-can:

  1. Flip p-can upside down and release remaining pressure by squeezing the handle.
  2. Flip it upright and unscrew the top (just below the handle and pressure gauge).
  3. Fill with clean water to the level indicated (marked on can or to overflow tube).
  4. Reattach the top. Tighten securely, by hand.
  5. Pressurize the can using the air compressor to pressure indicated on p-can (usually 100 psi).
