Unlike dry-chem or CO2 extinguisher, pressurized water cans (p-cans) can be refilled and put back in service at the station.
How to refill the p-can:
- Flip p-can upside down and release remaining pressure by squeezing the handle.
- Flip it upright and unscrew the top (just below the handle and pressure gauge).
- Fill with clean water to the level indicated (marked on can or to overflow tube).
- Reattach the top. Tighten securely, by hand.
- Pressurize the can using the air compressor to pressure indicated on p-can (usually 100 psi).
