Helmet colors vary regionally. We follow a color-coding system that is used by most local departments.

  • Yellow - Probationary firefighter, exterior firefighter
  • Black - Interior firefighter
  • Red - Officer (lieutenant or captain)
  • White - Chief

We occasionally have someone that does EMS only. In those cases we assign a blue helmet.
