MEFD uses 4 types of ladders.
Each structure engine carries:
- One 30 foot 3 section (2 fly) extension ground ladder.
- One 14 foot single section roof ladder.
- One 10 foot folding attic ladder, also known as a captain's ladder.
In addition 11-17 carries one multi-position folding ladder.
