Helmet colors vary regionally. We follow a color-coding system that is used by most local departments.
- Yellow - Probationary firefighter, exterior firefighter
- Black - Interior firefighter
- Red - Officer (lieutenant or captain)
- White - Chief
We occasionally have someone that does EMS only. In those cases we assign a blue helmet.
